A Collect for the Thirty-Sixth Day of Lent

“… unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

God of life and death, who gave up much in order to gain much more, reveal to us what we are afraid to lose and what we cling to in order to live, and grant us the wisdom to discern where we must let fall to the ground and die that something greater might be birthed in our hearts, through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with thee and the Holy Ghost be all honor and glory, world without end. Amen.
